马来西亚论坛是一个全球性社区（论坛），旨在鼓励彼此参与到国内事务的“民间对话”里。换句话说，这个论坛鼓励所有尊重和公正的言论，希望每一个发言者的声音都能被认真倾听，引发人们的考虑，并赢来回复。马来论坛坚信，这些发言对话不仅能帮助论坛成员在思想上成熟，更能增进他们对挚爱的祖国的了解，并加深人们对自己在马来西亚社会中扮演的角色的理解。

在2003年，一群来自马来西亚的学生和青年工作者在旧金山湾区合作成立了马来西亚论坛。从那时起，马来论坛一直在不断地发展壮大，直到如今。他们的成员来自各行各业，而今天的积极参与者主要有记者，音乐家，研究人员，软件开发人员和学生。这种生活背景的多样性，有助于在一个典型的对话带出多样化的角度，使得所有参与者都能在对话中学习到一些新的东西。

如今，此论坛仍然在发挥着它的作用，为世界各地的马来西亚人民提供一个安全的发言空间，来深入了解他们的祖国。

The Malaysia Forum (MF) is a global community that seeks to engage each other in ’civil conversation’ on

Malaysian issues. In other words, we encourage conversations that are respectful and unbiased, where

every voice is heard, considered and responded to. It is our belief that these conversations will not only

help us grow as people, but will also deepen our understanding of our beloved country and of our

respective roles in Malaysian society.Malaysia Forum members come from all walks of life. Among

active participants today are journalists, musicians,researchers, software developers and students.

This diversity of backgrounds helps to bring out multiple perspectives during a typical conversation so that everyone who participates learns something new.
